Texas State University invites applications for the position of Assistant or Associate Professor of Instruction (Online) in the Department of Computer Science, starting Fall 2026. This is a full-time, nine-month, non-tenure-line faculty role dedicated primarily to online teaching within the online Master of Computer Science program. The position offers the opportunity to shape high-quality graduate education while teaching from a remote location in Texas or other approved U.S. states.
The successful candidate will teach four online master’s-level course sections per semester and contribute to a collaborative instructional culture that values student support, coordination, and academic excellence. While research and grant activity are not required, the department encourages pedagogical innovation, instructional leadership, and contributions to the continuous improvement of online delivery. Candidates at the Associate rank must demonstrate a record of graduate-level online teaching excellence and at least five years of university-level online instruction experience.

This role may be fully remote only for residents of Texas or other states where Texas State University is registered as an employer, subject to eligibility and verification.
