Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) seeks a Computer Scientist (f/m/d) at the Institute of Nanotechnology (INT) to develop and operate AI-supported semantic data infrastructures for materials research. Responsibilities include advancing ontology-based extensions of the MaterialDigital DataPortal (CKAN), integrating data spaces (Gaia-X, Catena-X), managing containerized Linux-based infrastructures, and supporting community onboarding and training. Candidates should hold a Master’s degree (doctorate desirable) in computer science or related fields, with strong expertise in data-intensive systems, APIs, authentication frameworks, semantic technologies, and service-oriented architectures. The position is fixed-term until October 31, 2028 (Vacancy No. 58/2026).
