Aalto University invites applications for Doctoral and/or Postdoctoral Researcher positions in compound semiconductor energy converters within the Engineered NanoSystems (ENS) research group. The research focuses on developing electroluminescent and thermophotonic energy converters based on III–V semiconductors, spanning epitaxial growth, material development, device design, characterization, and modeling. Candidates will join a multidisciplinary team working on optical thermodynamics, semiconductor energy conversion, and solid-state cooling technologies. The positions are full-time, based in Espoo, Finland, and are scheduled until mid-2029, with renewable contracts.
