KTH Royal Institute of Technology invites applications for a Doctoral (PhD) position in Theoretical Condensed Matter Physics. The project focuses on emerging states of quantum matter such as composite order, electron quadrupling condensates, and topological defects carrying fractional magnetic flux. The successful candidate will conduct theoretical research using analytical and numerical approaches including effective field theory, statistical mechanics, and modern quantum many-body techniques. The PhD student will work within the research group led by Professor Egor Babaev and collaborate with international theoretical and experimental research teams.
