The University of Bayreuth invites applications for a Full Professor (W3) of Biochemistry at the Faculty of Biology, Chemistry & Earth Sciences. The successful candidate will conduct internationally recognized research on biomacromolecules, focusing on structure, molecular function, and mechanisms using advanced biochemical and structural biology techniques such as cryo-electron microscopy, X-ray crystallography, or single-molecule approaches. The professor will contribute to interdisciplinary research networks including the Bayreuth Centre for Molecular Biosciences and “Molecules, Life & AI”, and teach biochemistry across bachelor’s and master’s programmes.
