The University of Bayreuth invites applications for a Full Professor (W3) of Modern German Literature at the Faculty of Languages & Literatures. The successful candidate will represent the full spectrum of modern German literature from 1770 to the present in teaching and research. Applicants should have an internationally visible research profile, strong publication record, and experience obtaining third-party funding. The professor will contribute to interdisciplinary collaboration and help develop German studies across bachelor’s, master’s, and teacher training programmes. Research interests in contemporary literature, digital humanities, or the relationship between literature and media, theatre, or music are desirable.
