Applications are invited for two PhD positions funded by the Horizon Europe Marie Skłodowska-Curie Doctoral Network CUSTOM (Customized Porous Structures and Advanced Testing for Orthopaedic Implants). These full-time positions are based at the University of Nottingham and start in September/October 2026 for a duration of three years. The projects focus on bioactive glass coatings (DC7) and advanced titanate coatings for porous titanium implants (DC8). Candidates should hold a Master’s degree in Materials Engineering or a related field and have strong communication skills in English.
