A PhD position in Medical Science is available at the Institute of Biomedicine, Department of Infectious Diseases, focusing on developing molecular tools and biosensor technologies to improve infectious disease diagnostics. The project targets rapid detection of bacterial pathogens and antimicrobial resistance using genomics, proteomics, and bioinformatic analyses, including work with Risk‑Group 2 pathogens and functionalization of graphene sensors. The PhD student will conduct laboratory experiments, collaborate with clinicians and other students in the BUG-ID project, and contribute to translational research in diagnostics.
