TU Delft is offering a PhD position to design and simulate 2-D photonic structures for spatial filtering in space-borne optical instruments. The project focuses on multilayer structured coatings to improve beam quality for applications such as exoplanet research and Earth observation. The candidate will perform advanced electromagnetic simulations and numerical modelling to optimize photonic designs. The position is hosted in the Spaceborne Instrumentation section of the Faculty of Aerospace Engineering in a multidisciplinary research environment.
