The Norwegian University of Science and Technology invites applications for a PhD Candidate in Digital Twins and AI for Cultural Heritage Preparedness. The position is part of the Horizon Europe project HERITWIN, which develops advanced digital infrastructure for protecting cultural heritage sites. The research will focus on digital twin models integrating sensor data, GIS/BIM, LiDAR, and IoT systems to enable AI-based predictive monitoring of risks such as flooding, humidity, and structural stress. The Norwegian pilot focuses on preparedness modelling for heritage infrastructure at the Telemark Canal.
