This PhD project focuses on developing advanced Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) systems for low-cost, high-performance skin cancer imaging. You will optimize OCT noise and detection efficiency using experiments and physical modeling of supercontinuum light sources and detectors. The project also involves achieving high-resolution deep-tissue imaging through super-resolution and 3D Fourier OCT signal processing. In addition, you will design compact, robust, and clinically applicable OCT systems. The PhD is a collaboration between TU Delft, The Hague University of Applied Sciences, and Erasmus Medical Center, working at the interface of biomedicine and photonics.
