PhD student in Theoretical Physics: Theoretical Cosmology of the Early Universe

Stockholm, Sweden
Closes today (Mar 2, 2026)

The Department of Physics invites applications for a PhD position in Theoretical Physics focused on the intersection of particle physics and cosmology. The project explores extensions of the Standard Model to address fundamental questions such as dark matter, early-universe dynamics, and cosmic structure formation. Research may include cosmic phase transitions, gravitational-wave signatures, inflation, baryogenesis, axion physics, and string cosmology. The successful candidate will work within an interdisciplinary research environment, contributing to theory development and comparisons with astrophysical and experimental observations while receiving advanced training in quantum field theory and cosmology.
