The Mechanics & High Performance Computing Group at the Technical University of Munich invites applications for a fully funded PhD position starting around June 2026. Research will focus on computational methods for nonlinear and large-scale optimization and inverse problems, or on novel modeling approaches for computational crystal plasticity. The position is an in-house appointment and includes teaching responsibilities. The successful candidate will work in a research-intensive environment with access to advanced computational resources and contribute to both research and teaching activities within the department.
