Postdoc in Preclinical Peripheral Nerve Regeneration using Biodegradable Implants

Delft, Netherlands
Closed (Feb 3, 2026)

TU Delft invites applications for a Postdoctoral Fellow to lead preclinical in vivo studies on peripheral nerve regeneration using biodegradable MEMS implants. The role focuses on designing and conducting animal experiments to evaluate mechanical stimulation strategies such as cyclic stimulation, traction, and localized heating to promote nerve repair. Embedded in the ERC Starting Grant project “Nerve-Repair 2.0,” this position enables multidisciplinary research at the interface of neurobiology, microfabrication, materials science, and biomedical engineering, addressing major unmet clinical needs in nerve injury therapy.
