The Abreu Lab at New York University seeks a highly motivated Postdoctoral Associate to investigate eco-evolutionary dynamics using experimental microbial model systems. Research projects combine genome editing, experimental evolution with DNA-barcoded yeast and bacterial strains, sequencing analysis, bioinformatics, and mathematical modeling. The postdoctoral associate will work at the interface of theory and experiment, collaborating with theorists to test predictions on how microbial communities adapt to changing environments. This position supports the transition to research independence through mentorship, professional development, publication of findings, and the development of both wet-lab and computational research expertise.
