The Postdoctoral Associate will work under the supervision of Prof. Marc Walters in the Chemistry Department at NYU. The research focuses on developing soluble zinc mineral precursors, depositing zinc minerals in dentin tubules, and characterizing the deposited minerals. The project involves sectioning teeth to produce dentin blocs, treating them with mineralizing solutions, and analyzing samples using electron microscopy and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. Additional techniques include X-ray powder diffraction and handling mineralized samples.
