The Department of Chemistry and Molecular Biology seeks a Postdoctoral Fellow to develop peptidomimetic inhibitors targeting Sortase A in Staphylococcus for antivirulence therapy. The role involves designing and synthesizing peptide-based libraries, conducting biochemical and microbiological assays, and establishing structure–activity relationships. The project integrates medicinal chemistry, chemical biology, and microbiology, with translational aims toward preclinical development. The postdoc will also mentor students, collaborate across disciplines, and contribute to publications and external partnerships within the Wallenberg Centre for Molecular and Translational Medicine.
