The University is seeking a Professor of Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy (m/f/d) to join its academic team in Düsseldorf. This full-time professorial role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to high-quality teaching, impactful research, and the continued development of innovative psychology programmes within a future-oriented institution.
Key responsibilities and expectations include:

Teaching Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy within the B.Sc. Psychology programme.

Contributing to additional psychology modules, such as Biological Psychology and Introductory Psychology.

Conducting independent research and publishing in the fields of clinical psychology and/or psychotherapy.

Participating in the development and expansion of Master’s programmes with a clinical focus.

Supervising and advising students, including theses and applied project work.

Establishing and expanding cooperation partners for student internships and practical placements.

Strengthening regional, national, and interdisciplinary research networks.

Collaborating across multiple university locations and contributing to innovative teaching concepts.

Participating in academic self-governance and institutional development.
Required qualifications:

Doctorate (PhD) in Psychology.

Fulfilment of the Hessian higher education appointment requirements (§ 68 HessHG).

Habilitation or equivalent academic achievements (§ 30 HessHG).

Proven teaching experience and strong pedagogical competence.

Recognised research profile with international visibility through publications and conferences.

Research expertise in at least one mental disorder and its treatment.

Experience in acquiring third-party research funding (preferred).
