Research Associate: Photoanode–Catalyst Interface Engineering for Photoelectrochemical Energy Conversion

The CO₂UPLED Junior Research Group at the Walter Schottky Institute (TUM) is seeking a highly motivated Research Associate with the option to pursue a PhD. The project focuses on interface engineering of oxynitride photoanodes and transparent catalyst layers for solar-driven water splitting and CO₂ reduction. Research activities include thin-film photoelectrode development, catalyst integration, operando spectroscopy, and stability analysis. The position offers access to state-of-the-art infrastructure, integration into the SINATRA initiative, and structured doctoral training at one of Europe’s leading research universities.
