This PhD position focuses on the synthesis and structural investigation of biohybrid nanomaterials using advanced synchrotron X-ray techniques. The candidate will design and conduct experiments on nanoparticles encapsulated in protein systems, applying methods such as SAXS and total X-ray scattering alongside complementary microscopy (TEM/SEM). Responsibilities include data analysis, method development, and interpretation of structure–function relationships, while contributing to publications and international collaborations. The role also includes limited teaching and mentoring duties and provides dedicated time for doctoral research. The project offers a unique opportunity to work at the interface of nanoscience, chemistry, and large-scale research infrastructure.
