We are seeking a highly motivated researcher or software developer to support data analysis at the P61A diffraction beamline, which focuses on engineering materials science at high photon energies. The beamline enables advanced scanning diffraction, fast in-situ measurements, high-resolution imaging, and high-speed radiography, producing large and complex datasets. The successful candidate will develop efficient Python-based analysis solutions, building on and extending the existing P61A Viewer. Working closely with the beamline team and user community, you will identify scientific analysis needs, implement robust algorithms, and develop a well-documented graphical user interface optimized for large datasets, multiprocessing, and GPU acceleration, suitable for both clusters and laptops. The position is full-time (39 hours/week) and initially limited to two years.
